A name, phone number, or address entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies those results. Forest Grove Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information in that message and is used to respond.

Hosting services maintain ordinary logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools can support basic measurement and, where relevant, advertising measurement.

That limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual user profiles.

Links may lead to Oregon and Washington County portals, library collections, archives, or third-party search services. The policy of that outside service controls information submitted there. The same is true of sponsored search results supplied by a third party.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.

The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Oregon public records held by state, Washington County, or Forest Grove offices are outside our control and must be addressed to the official custodian under the applicable public-record procedure.
